As one of the Treasure Island wineries, Sottomarino has a rich and interesting history, dating back to the 1940's in the World War II era when Treasure Island was a Navy base. The space was originally used as a training vessel (technical term: Damage Control Wet Trainer), where Navy seamen would practice training drills to prepare for the worst. Now, as the winery tasting room, you can explore a living piece of history while enjoying our wine.
